The National Museum of Science and Technology has set an example for government organizations to achieve ISO certification for achieving institutional success. After a long two-year journey, the ISO certificate from the UK was handed over to the Science Museum, better known as 'ISO 9001: 2015'. In recognition of its excellence in office management, outstanding achievements in spectator service, fondness for science among students across the country and its impeccable role in inculcating innovative thinking in the younger generation. This is a unique milestone in enriching government office management in Bangladesh. Ziaul Hasan, senior secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, handed over the ISO certificate to the Director General of the Museum, Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, in the conference room of the ministry on Thursday, May 26, 2022. The meeting was attended by officials of different levels of the ministry and heads of subordinate agencies. In this regard, Director General of the National Museum of Science and Technology Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, "We are firmly committed to establish maximum efficiency, accountability and accuracy in administrative management and public service." It may be noted that, on February 25, 2020, the Science Museum took the initiative to obtain ISO certification. This was followed by a continuous two-year multi-faceted administrative reform program, extensive development activities and multi-dimensional modernization, taking continuous steps to create a unique visitor-friendly atmosphere and a student-friendly aesthetic environment. After that, a reputed company called 'AJA Europe Ltd.' in the UK completed all the audit work for issuing ISO certificate through R&G Consultant in Bangladesh. The institutional environment, the work activities of the officers and employees, the quality of the visitors' service, modern scientific innovations, etc., all the details are long observed and evaluated in this regard. Special training is given to the staff of the Science Museum and uninterrupted audit activities are also carried out at each level.
